Welcome to a “fireside chat” with Harley McLeish @harleymacro has been on numerous productions with us over the last few years. From touring internationally with “TRACES” to “The Last Chapter” in Sharjah, Harley has been part of @the7fingers family for a minute now. Never one to backdown from a challenge, built for circus through and through, it’s been a pleasure getting to know and work alongside him. Now sit back and enjoy a leisurely chat with Mr. McLeish who’s currently bunkered down in Brisbane, AUS. Last place you were before quarantine: Performing in Germany with @anmagodin in @palazzo_dinnershow. Last book you read: “Enders game” by Orson Scott Card. Definitely enjoying the extra reading time at the moment. Last TV show you binged: There has been so many shows I’ve lost count, but the most recently finished was @witchernetflix. Last song you listened to: Been shuffling through a lot of playlists lately but @spotify says my most recent is “Here I go again” by @whitesnake. Last good piece of advice you received: Mmmm I’m not sure about the last piece but I think the best advice I ever got was from my hand to hand coach at @ecolenationaledecirquemtl. I was in a hard situation and found myself feeling a bit hopeless and at a loss of opportunities for my future. When I started to lose motivation and steam for training because everything seemed lost he told me “Now is not the time to slow down, now is the time to push harder than ever. Because at some point an opportunity will come, and if you aren’t prepared for it when it arrives, you’ll miss it.” Now anytime I don’t know what to do next, it reminds me to stay focused and be ready to snatch any opportunity that comes along, even if I can’t see one coming. First thing you’re gonna do when this whole thing is over: I’m flying straight across the world to see my girlfriend who’s locked down in Montreal. Here’s hoping those borders open soon! . . . @filmedbyfrancisco
